Growth Features of Scarlet Skunk Autoflower
The autoflowering cannabis variety Scarlet Skunk is an excellent choice for novice growers. Growing it is simple and convenient. Compact bushes have a typical indica-dominant structure and are easy to grow. They do not need to be trained, because the maximum height of plants is only 120-150 cm. The bushes themselves have a branched structure and in the process of flowering develop many small but resinous buds with a high content of terpenes and cannabinoids.
When growing indoors, it is recommended to keep the temperature within 21-27 ° C, and the optimal range is 23-24 ° C. Short cold spells are well tolerated, but with prolonged exposure to low temperatures, growth may slow down. Humidity should be kept below 55%, so as not to provoke the formation of mold on the buds during the ripening of marijuana.
To give the root system sufficient room for growth, it is recommended to use 15–20 liter pots. The variety reacts well to moderate fertilizing, effectively converting nutrients into bud growth. To fulfill its potential, the plant requires bright light, so it is better to provide at least 100 watts per bush if LED lighting is used, and when growing in the open air, use areas with a lot of direct sunlight for planting.
The full autoflowering cycle from germination to harvest takes 42–49 days. At the same time, the yield reaches 500 g/m2 or up to 300 g from a bush in the open ground. It will be difficult to keep the smell within the premises, and a powerful carbon filter will be required to neutralize it.
